The short answer
Zirconia and metal-ceramic describe different ways to construct a restoration. Both still need appropriate design, fit, bite and cleaning access. The best restoration is the one designed appropriately for the individual clinical situation.
What the material name does not settle
Weight varies with the full construction, not just the label. Appearance depends on shade, contours and laboratory work. Repairability depends on where and how a restoration is damaged.
Both can be part of digital workflows. Ask about the actual planned construction rather than assuming a particular manufacturing process from the material alone.
Bring the comparison back to your case
Your clinical team considers the available restorative space, opposing teeth, bite, aesthetics and your ability to clean. The decision should also include what future repairs and maintenance could involve.
The advertised final restoration
Our €12,000 package specifies fixed zirconia restorations according to the agreed treatment plan. The comparison explains alternatives; it does not silently change the included material.
